The rupee fell by 25 paise to 61 rupees 13 paise against the dollar in early trade today. This follows increased demand for the US currency from banks and importers, amid a weak opening in local equities. The domestic currency had recovered from all-time closing low to end 22 paise higher at 60 rupees 88 paise in yesterday's trade.
