The rupee weakened further by 10 paise to 55 rupees 69 paise against the dollar in early trade today, due to appreciation of the US currency overseas. The domestic currency had lost 13 paise to close at a fresh six-month low of 55 rupees 59 paise against the dollar, after dropping to an eight-month low of 56 rupees 01 paise intra-day in yesterday's trade.
