The Indian rupee depreciated by 37 paise at a fresh 30-month low of 50 rupees 17 paise against the US dollar today on sustained dollar demand from importers and some banks amid firmness of the American currency overseas. Yesterday, the rupee had plunged by 65 paise to close at a nearly 28-month low of Rs 49.80 against the American currency.
