The Indian rupee depreciated by 2 paise to 44.47 rupees against the US dollar in early trade on the Interbank Foreign Exchange today. It closed at 44.45 rupees a dollar in the previous session on Wednesday.Forex dealers said the lower opening in the stock market this morning mainly put pressure on the rupee vis-a-vis the dollar.
