The Indian rupee fell by 14 paise to 45.26 rupees per US dollar in early trade. Forex dealers said besides dollar demand from importers, gains made by the American currency against other rivals overseas put pressure on the rupee. A weakening trend in the equity market for the third straight day on foreign fund outflows also influenced the trading sentiment.
