The rupee Thursday depreciated by 8 paise against the US currency in early trade in line with weak stock markets. At the Foreign exchange market, the rupee lost 8 paise to 46.05 a dollar. The domestic unit had closed higher by 25 paise at 45.98 yesterday. Dealers said weakness in stock markets and strengthening dollar overseas weighed on the rupee sentiment.
