The Indian rupee depreciated by 36 paise to 53.06 rupees per US dollar in early trade today. It had closed at 52.70 rupees against the green back in the previous session on Friday. Dealers said the weakening of rupee is due to weakness of the euro and other Asian currencies against the dollar overseas and a lower opening in the domestic stock market.
