The Indian rupee was up by 12 paise at 45.08 per US dollar in early trade today on sustained dollar-selling by exporters and corporates amid weakness of the American currency overseas. The domestic unit had opened slightly higher at 45.19 per dollar as against last Friday's close of 45.21 per dollar. The rupee moved up further to 45.08 per dollar before quoting at 45.11 per dollar at 1030 hours.
