The Indian rupee appreciated by 26 paisa to 46.57 a dollar in early trade today. This Indian currency was supported by gains in the stock market.The rupee had closed 12 paise higher at 46 rupees 84 paise against the dollar in Friday's trading.Forex dealers said fresh capital inflows into equities by foreign funds provided support to the rupee.
