The Indian rupee appreciated by 14 paise to 45.46 a dollar in the early trade today, extending its rally for the sixth straight session, largely on continued capital inflows amid firming Asian currencies. At the Forex market, the rupee strengthened by 14 paise, while the domestic currency closed 21 paise higher at 45.61 in the previous session on Friday. Forex dealers said apart from continued capital inflows by foreign funds, dollar's losses against other currencies also helped the rupee rally.
