The Indian rupee appreciated by 13 paise to 47 Rupees 09 paise against the US dollar in early trade on the Interbank Foreign Exchange today. on Monday, the local currency had tumbled 66 paise to close at nearly a 14-month low of 47 Rupees 22 paise against the US currency amid a steep fall in the stock market and a surge in the dollar value against other major currency rivals.
