The rupee today appreciated by 15 paise to 46.09 a dollar in early trade. Dealers said increased capital inflows by funds into equities helped the rupee gain in early trade. Dollar's weakness against other Asian currencies also supported the rupee sentiment. The rupee had ended 5 paise higher at 46.24 against the US currency on Tuesday.
