The rupee today appreciated by 12 paise to 46.75 a dollar in early trade in line with other firming Asian currencies.Dealers said dollar's losses against other Asian currencies and hopes of increased capital inflows by funds into equity market mainly supported the rupee. The rupee had ended 7 paise lower at 46.87 in previous trade.
