The rupee appreciated by 20 paise to 44.22 rupees a dollar at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market in early trade today. The Indian currency had ended 23 paise lower at 44.42 rupees against the dollar in the previous session.Dealers said increased capital inflow and weak dollar against major currencies supported the rise in the rupee.
