The Indian rupee appreciated by 15 paise to 45.43 a dollar in the early trade today amid increased capital inflows by foreign funds into equities. The domestic currency had closed 15 paise lower at 45.59 in its previous session. Dealers said the rupee strengthened against the US currency largely in tandem with other firming major currencies and dollar selling by banks and exporters.
