<span style="color: #222222;">Health and Family Welfare Ministry said that people are concealing symptoms of Covid-19 and showing hesitancy in seeking medical care due to the social stigma associated with the corona virus which is making management of this pandemic more difficult. Ministry said, rumours and misinformation create more stress and can hamper Covid-19 recovery during this crisis.</span><br />” <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />” <span style="color: #222222;">People affected with Covid-19 and their families, people under quarantine, frontline health care professionals like doctors, nurses, paramedics, hospital staff, sanitation workers, migrant workers and people who have recovered from corona virus are facing social stigma due to lack of adequate information, fear of disease and misinformation.</span><br />” <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />” <span style="color: #222222;">The Ministry advised that despite precautions, if a person contracts Covid-19, it is not the fault of that person and no one needs to be blamed. In situations of distress, the patient and the family need support and cooperation. The Ministry also advised to not to spread misinformation and labelling of any group or area for spread of Covid-19.</span><br />” <br />
