<span style="color: #222222;">In Mizoram, ruling party Mizo National Front (MNF) won the bye-election in the Tuirial Assembly constituency in Kolasib district. MNF candidate Mr K Laldawngliana won by a margin of 1,284 votes against his nearest rival Mr Laltlanmawia of Zoram People's Movement (ZPM).</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Laldawngliana has secured 5,820 votes, while his nearest rival  Mr Laltlanmawia bagged 4,536 votes. The election commission of India declared the results today.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The bye poll in Tuirial constituency was necessitated following the death of sitting MLA Andrew H Thangliana of ZPM. There were around 17,911 voters in the constituency for the by-poll held on 30th October that recorded polling of 81.29% votes.</span><br />
