Vice President Mohammed Hamid Ansari today said rule of law is prerequisite condition of economic growth and development.<br/><br/>Addressing 90th foundation day ceremony of Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Industries at Patna Mr. Ansari said business is best conducted in conditions of peace, stability and good governance.<br/><br/>The Vice President said that for economic prosperity the rule of law must contain ingredients of absolute supremacy of regular law, equality before law and access to justice and development of law by the judges on a case by case basis.<br/><br/>He said maintaining law and order will be essential to attracting investments for rapid growth. The Vice President said Bihar has to create an environment where more businesses see the state as a gateway to consumers in the eastern part of the country and as a place where setting up a plant will be competitive with an abundant supply of workers.<br/><br/>Praising the economic growth rate of 10.5 percent of Bihar during last decade Mr. Ansari suggested that the state should reap its demographic dividend by increasing focus on education and skill development of both boys and girls.
