Ruchika Case: Haryana govt asks Centre to hand over three fresh FIRs to CBI

Haryana police has said that any further action regarding the arrest of former DGP SPS Rathore and others in Ruchika case should be taken by the CBI. In a statement last night, it said as the state government has asked the Centre to hand over the three fresh FIRs to CBI, it will be in the interest of fair probe that the next move in the case is decided by the central agency. It said, notification of the Central government for handing over the cases to the CBI is expected anytime.<br/>Panchkula Sessions Court yesterday rejected the anticipatory bail to Rathroe. He had moved the Court on 30th of December and sought an interim bail following two fresh FIRs registered against him on charges of attempt to murder and wrongful confinement on a complaint by Ruchika's brother Ashu. <br/>Meanwhile, Central Board of Secondary Education CBSE has decided to seek an explanation from Sacred Heart School, Chandigarh regarding Ruchika's expulsion. Sources said, school will be asked to explain the circumstances under which Ruchika was expelled.
