The Vice President Mohammed Hamid Ansari has said the Right to Information Act, RTI has given new meaning to engagements of citizens with government. <br/><br/>Launching a knowledge portal on RTI at the Institute of Management in Government at Thiruvananthapuram, he said, the Act calls for transparency and acccountability in decision making and better upkeep of records. <br/><br/>The Vice President pointed out that participation of general public in governance beyond elections is made possible by the ACT.<br/>
