<span style="color: #222222;">In Manipur, the General Secretary of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Dattatreya Hosabale said that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose launched a provincial independent government in Manipur defeating the British in 1944.<br />'' <br />'' He was speaking at the Public Lecture on the theme "Netaji, Azad Hind Fauz and Indian Freedom Struggle" at GP Women's College in Imphal this afternoon.<br />'' <br />'' He said that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose unfurled the Indian tricolor flag at Moirang. He further added that the Japanese soldier loaded bomb attack aimed at the British forces on the soil of Manipur.<br />'' <br />'' The General Secretary further said that Mairembam Koireng Singh, who was one of the members of the Indian National Army (INA) became the first Chief Minister of Manipur.<br />'' <br />'' Heaping appreciation on the first Chief Minister, Shri Hosabale said that Mr Singh did a lot for the welfare and development of the people of the state and the country as a whole.<br />'' <br />'' Shri Hosabale also thanked the people of Manipur for electing Shri Koireng Singh as the first Chief Minister of Manipur.<br />'' <br />''The "Public Lecture" was held as part of the observance of Parakram Diwas & Celebration of the 126th Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.</span><br />
