Rs slumps 25 paise to over 2 month low against dollar? Sensex gains 183 pts

At the foreign exchange market, the rupee slumped 25 paise, to an over two month low of 66.57 against the dollar. The rupee fell on month-end dollar demand from banks and importers, foreign capital outflows, and a stronger dollar overseas. But at the stock markets, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange gained 183 points, to 25,959. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange rose 52 points, to 7,884. Gold rose 80 rupees, to 25,820 rupees per ten grams in Delhi. And Brent crude oil futures dropped 46 cents, to 45.71 dollars a barrel
