Rajya Sabha today resumed the discussion on Motion of thanks to the President's address in the joint sitting of both houses of Parliament. <br />'' <br />'' Participating in the discussion, Binoy Vishwam of CPI said that the country is going through difficult times in every sphere. He said, the government has made so many promises but has not been able to fulfill them. <br />'' <br />'' Mr Vishwam said, the government introduced CAA and NRC to deviate the attention from the core issues. Anand Sharma of Congress alleged that NDA Government is trying to suppress the voice of the Opposition by imposing its own ideology. He said, protest and expression of speech are the fundamental rights of the citizen. <br />'' <br />'' He also said, CAA is unconstitutional and against morality. Viplove Thakur of Congress alleged that the government is trying to divide the country into religious lines. She said, this government is not doing anything for the youth of the country and also not trying to control the rising inflation. <br />'' <br />'' K. Bhabananda Singh of BJP said that the present government has actually taken up the policy of act east rather than the previous look east policy. He said, the government has built new AIIMS in Guwahati and other institutions of national importance in the North-East. <br />'' <br />'' Mr Singh further said, the present regime solved long pending issues of North East like that of the Bru, Reang and the Bodo community. Narayan Rane of BJP said that during the last six years government has taken so many decisions to take the country forward. The discussion is underway.<br />''
