RS polls: BJP top brass in fray

The BJP has nominated former party president M Venkaiah Naidu, spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy, vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and treasurer Piyush Goyal as its candidates for the forthcoming Rajya Sabha elections.<br/> <br/>BJP Parliamentary Board headed by party president Nitin Gadkari finalised candidates in New Delhi yesterday for next month's Rajya Sabha polls in Bihar, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra. <br/> <br/>Former Chhattisgarh BJP president and Scheduled Tribe leader Nand Kumar Sai and A Manjunath are the other candidates.<br/> <br/>Vidhan Parishad candidates for various states were also finalised.<br/> <br/>The next meeting of the BJP Parliamentary Board will be held on the 4th of next month to select the remaining candidates for the Rajya Sabha and State Legislative Councils.<br/>
