The Rajya Sabha today paid homage to the security personnel, who were killed in a dastardly terrorist attack on Parliament House on 13th of December 2001. As soon as the house met for the day, the Chairman, Mohammed Hamid Ansari recalled the supreme sacrifices made by the security personnel.<br/><br/>He said the house once again reiterate its firm resolve to fight terrorism with determination and rededicate to protect the sovereignty and integrity of the nation.<br/><br/>Later, the members observed silence as a mark of respect to the memory of those who lost their lives in the tragedy. Nine people, including two staff of the Parliament security service, five Delhi Police, a woman constable of the CRPF lost their lives while preventing the entry of terrorists inside the Parliament House building. The killed included a gardener of CPWD.<br/>
