Rajya Sabha today passed the Aministrators-General (Amendment) bill 2011 by voice vote. The bill further amends the Aministrators-General Act, 1963 owing to decrease in money value and eascalatin of prices of properties. Before the House adopted the bill the Law and Justice Minister Salman Khurshid said it is necessary to increase the monetary limit of jurisdiction of the Aministrator-General from two lakh rupees to ten lakh rupees.
