RS Chairman Venkaiah Naidu holds meeting of leaders of various parties and groups in Parliament House

Rajya Sabha Chairman M.Venkaiah Naidu held a virtual meeting of leaders of various parties and groups in the Parliament House on Monday evening. Sources said, during the meeting, Mr Naidu gave details of time available for various items of business during the first part of the Budget session that began today. He stated that during the ten sittings in the first part till 11th February, only 23 hours of time will be available for business other than Zero Hour, Question Hour and Private Members' Business.<br />''<br />''Mr Naidu further said that discussion on Motion of Thanks to the President for his address and discussion on Union Budget: 2022-23 to be presented tomorrow will get priority during the first part of the session. 15 leaders of different parties spoke in the meeting and many of the leaders called for a disruption free Budget session.<br />''<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">BJD Leader Prasanna Acharya urged all parties and members of respective parties not to disrupt Zero Hour and Question Hour since Chairman Mr Naidu has been endeavouring to give opportunities to as many Members as possible there by enabling wider participation of Members of Rajya Sabha. Congress MP Anand Sharma, Union Minister's Bhupener Yadav and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, TMC MP Derek O'Brien, DMK MP Tiruchi Siva and Praful Patel of NCP were among those who participated in the meeting.</span><br />
