Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today said adoption of changes made in Aadhaar Bill by the Rajya Sabha would have pushed the legislation into realms of unconstitutionality. In a Facebook Post, Mr Jaitley said, acceptance of the amendments would have led to much wider encroachment of the Right to Privacy. He said, justifying the rejection of amendments to the Bill,he said that the Lok Sabha did the right thing.<br/><br/>The Lok Sabha on the last day of the first half of Budget asession on Wednesday waited for Rajya Sabha to decide on the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Bill, 2016, and then swiftly rejected the amendments made to the legislation.
