The Rajya Sabha has been adjourned till noon after uproar by Congress over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement on WTO. As soon as the House met this morning, Congress members raised the issue, forcing adjournment for 10 minutes and then up to noon.
The Prime Minister had said at BJP's National Council meeting that his government took a tough stand by not signing Trade Facilitation Agreement as it has to protect the interests of poor people. Without naming Congress, Modi said those who sought votes in the name of food security, had signed the agreement which was anti poor. The Congress has accused Prime Minister of misleading people on the issue.
