The Rajya Sabha was adjourned twice till noon following noisy scenes. As soon as the House met for the day, BJP members were on their feet to demand the suspension of question hour to take up the issue of the alleged involvement of Gujarat Governor, Kamala Benival in a land grabbing case. Chairman Mohammed Hamid Ansari, first adjourned the House for 15 minutes as noisy scenes continued.

The situation was the same when the House re-assembled at 11.17 hours leading to its adjournment till noon.
