The Rajya Sabha has been adjourned till noon following uproar by opposition members over the Vaidik- Hafiz issue.

Demanding a detailed discussion over the issue, the opposition including Congress, Left, JD (U) and Trinamool Congress asked the Government to arrest Vaidik who interviewed Hafiz Saeed, chief of Terror-outfit, Jamat ul Dawa.

The opposition members raised the issue soon after the house met for the day.

Chairman Mohammad Hamid Ansari adjourned the house for 15 minutes and then for till noon after his repeated appeals to take up the Question Hour went unheeded.
