The Rajya Sabha was adjourned for the day today as Samajwadi Party members raised slogans protesting against the reservation in promotions for SCs and STs in government jobs.

The agitating members protested as soon as the Minister of State for personnel and training, V Narayanasamy moved the Constitutional Amendment Bill, 2012 for consideration and passing.

Deputy Chairman, P J Kurien adjourned the House for the day.
