Lok Sabha adjourned till 3 pm and the Rajya Sabha for the day as opposition disrupts proceedings on various issues.

Earlier, both Houses of the Parliament were adjourned till 2 PM as opposition members created uproarious scenes, demanding resignation of Railway Minister P K Bansal in the bribery case involving his nephew. As soon as the Lok Sabha reassembled after the first adjournment at noon, members belonging to the BJP and CPI-M rushed into the well of the House. Samajwadi Party members also rushed to the well demanding the implementation of Sachar Committee report on minorities. Shiromani Akali Dal members demanded reopening of the 1984 Delhi riots case. In the Rajya Sabha, the BJP members rushed to the well raising slogans against Railway Minister without naming him. Prior, both the Houses witnessed an hour-long adjournment on the same issues.
