Rs. 634.50 cr sanctioned to pay salaries of Transport dept workers for Oct-Dec: Karnataka Dy CM

The Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and minister for Transport, Lakshman Savadi has informed that a sum of 634 crore 50 lakh rupees is sanctioned to pay the salaries of Transport department workers for October, November and December.<br />''<br />''Thanking the Chief Minister for approving the said sum, Lakshman Savadi said that necessary instructions will be issued to disburse the three months salaries to the drivers, conductors and other staff working in the state transport department. The amount is sanctioned by the Government to the department to meet its salary obligations as due to the lockdown the state transport corporation had incurred revenue loss.<br />'' <br />''The minister informed that even today, the revenue is just 30 percent of its normal earning. Due to the financial assistance from the Government, 1,30,000 workers of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation, Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation and two other transport corporations in north Karnataka will get their salaries.<br />
