The Government today assured adequate financial support to strengthen telecom connectivity to North-Eastern parts of the country. Responding to supplementaries during question hour in the Rajya Sabha, Communication Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said about Rs 5366 crores have been allocated for the purpose.The Minister said government will revive functioning of the Public Sector Telecom giant, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited by providing required monetary support.
