<span style="color: #222222;">The government today said four thousand three hundred three crore rupees have been paid to 74 lakh 50 farmer applications as part insurance claims for Kharif 2021 only under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY). In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said insurance companies have collected three thousand 476 crore rupees as a premium during 2021-22  under PMFBY. He said 19 general insurance companies have empanelled for the implementation of PMFBY in the country.  Last year one empanelled company merged with another empanelled insurance company. The Agriculture Minister said cut-off date for submission of yield data by state government to insurance companies for calculation of claims for Rabi 2021-22 season is one month from the conduct of Crop Cutting. Experiments by the end of April this year.</span><br />
