Rs 300 crore rupees will be spent on upgrading infrastructure, says Karunanidhi

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mr M Karunanidhi has said 300 crore rupees will be spent on upgrading infrastructure and for preparatory works in connection with the World Tamil classical conference to be held in Coimbatore in June this year.<br/><br/>Speaking to newsmen after a special review meeting on the conference, he said President Mrs Pratiba Patil will inaugurate the five day conference on the 23rd of June. <br/><br/>He said over 7300 Tamil scholars will be participating in the conference and 1500 papers will presented at the event. Mr Karunanidhi said Tamil I.T meet will also be a part of the five day conference.
