Rs 2,96,051 crore are earmarked under priority sector lending for year 2021-22: CGM NABARD, Niraj Kumar Verma

<span style="color: #222222;">In Karnataka, Chief General Manager of NABARD, Niraj Kumar Verma has informed that an amount of Rs 2,96,051 crore is earmarked under priority sector lending for the year 2021-22. He was speaking today at the State Credit Seminar in Bengaluru. In this the agriculture sector constitutes 1,45,213 Crore and MSME Sector constitutes 1,08,509 Crore.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Chairing the seminar, state Chief Secretary P Ravi Kumar released the State Focus Paper of NABARD. He laid emphasis on creating storage infrastructure and post harvest management.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Speaking on the occasion, Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner Vandita Sharma highlighted the need to provide handholding support to Farmers Producers Organisations. She advised banks to focus on Atmanirbhar schemes and finance under Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, Prime Minister Formalisation of Micro Food Enterprises scheme and PM Matsya Sampada Yojana in order to enhance farmers' income.</span><br />''  <br />
