Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Thursday informed Lok Sabha that an estimated amount of 287 crore rupees has been allocated for the development of thirteen water aerodromes across the country by the 31st March of next year. In a written reply he said during various rounds of bidding under Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN), 56 seaplane routes connecting 25 aerodromes were identified in the States and Union Territories of Gujarat, Assam, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Goa, Himachal Pradesh and Lakshadweep.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Replying to another question, the Minister said around 2433 crore rupees has been released to selected Airlines Operators as Viability Gap Funding, VGF till the 28th of last month. VGF is financial support to meet the gap if any between the cost of airline operations and expected revenues on such UDAN routes.&nbsp; He said under UDAN, 469 routes connecting 74 unserved and underserved airports including 9 heliports and two water aerodromes have been operationalised till last month.</span><br />
