Rs 20,353 cr undisclosed credits detected in Panama and Paradise Paper Leaks: Govt

<span style="color: #222222;">Government has said that undisclosed credits amounting to 20 thousand 353 crore rupees have been detected linking 930 Indian entities in the Panama and Paradise Paper Leaks. In a written reply in Rajya Sabha today, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary said, in 52 cases of Panama and Paradise Paper Leaks, Criminal prosecution complaints have been filed under the Black Money (Undisclosed Foreign Income and Assets) and Imposition of Tax Act. Further, in 130 cases proceedings have been initiated. He added that the total taxes collected in the Panama and Paradise Paper Leaks is over 153 crore rupees so far.<br />''<br />''The Minister further stated that some Indian names have been released in the media which are allegedly linked to the Pandora Papers Leak. He said, for the purpose of coordinated and speedy investigation, the case has been brought under the umbrella of a Multi Agency group, under the convenorship of the Central Board of Direct Taxes, CBDT Chairman with Directorate of Enforcement, Reserve Bank of India and others as the member agencies.</span><br />
