India will spend an estimated 10 thousand 555 crore rupees in hosting next year's Commonwealth Games. Replying to a question in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs Pratik Prakashbapu Patil said that the Organising Committee would also generate revenue of around one thousand 708 crore rupees from ticketing, broadcasting, sponsorship, licensed merchandise and donations. Admitting that there have been instances of delays in a few projects, the Minister assured the House that a 'recovery schedule' has been put in place to complete all the works.
