Rs 100 cr allocated for relief & rehabilitation work in TN

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.Karunanidhi has announced an allocation of 100 crore rupees for relief and rehabilitation work in the flood affected areas of the state.The Chief Minister, who reviewed the situation in the rain hit areas with senior officials in Chennai today also announced hike in assistance to fully damaged houses from 2000 rupees to 5000 rupees. The assistance for partially damaged houses has been increased to 2500 rupees.Karunanidhi said district administration in the rain ravaged areas will be sending reports to the government on the extent of damages caused to crops even as works are repairing roads and bridges damaged by the heavy downpour.
