<span style="color: #222222;">In the wake of the current lockdown, Manavseva Sangh an NGO in Surat is running a roti bank in the city which rotis are being provided to around 1 lakh poor and needy on a daily basis.<br />''<br />''When the whole of humanity is passing through a crisis, many organizations and social groups are satiating the hunger of the poor hit by the lockdown. Surat-based Manav Seva sangh is one of them. The NGO which is popularly known as Chhayado, has started a Roti bank during the lockdown through which over 1.25 Lakhs rotis are being collected from the households. Besides, it has also been running community kitchens at three places where around 50 thousand rotis, 40 thousand puris, Sabji khichdi are being prepared and distributed to the needy ones. Talking to AIR, President of Chhayado Bharat Shah said the organisation also provides minimum 25 thousand food packets to Municipal Corporation daily basis as per their requirement. <br />''<br />''He said initially they could distribute food to 2000 people but the number rose to 1 lakh in two months. Around 160 people are involved in the whole process.  Mr Shah added that all the social distancing norms and proper hygine is maintained while preparing and distributing food.</span><br />
