A ropeway is to be set up at the famous Makhdoom Sahib shrine in old city of Srinagar. The 6 crore rupee project was approved by State Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday. <br/><br/>Officials said that the 541 meter long rope way will be completed in 18 months. It will have four cabins in each cluster having a seating capacity of 225 people. It will have a maximum speed of 4 meters per second and pilgrims can reach the upper hill station from the base in about 3.2 minutes.
