In Uttar Pradesh an accident occurred in a NTPC power plant at Tanda in Ambedekar Nagar district when a roof of a turbine unit of main power plant collapsed today .<br/><br/>The district Magistrate of Ambedkar Nagar Mr Vivek told AIR correspondent this evening that one person identified as Pradeep Kumar was killed under the debris.However the district magistrate also not denied that some more people might be still under the debris .He said that rescue and relief operations are on though the NTPC authorities had informed to district administration about the incident after almost three hours later.the accident occurred around 2.30 hours . <br/><br/>Taking strict note of this laxity of NTPC the district magistrate has ordered magistrate inquiry for this accident. He said that SDM Tanda is heading the inquiry team and they will summit their report within twenty four hours. And further action will be taken as per the report .<br/><br/>Meanwhile the NTPC authorities are on complete silent t about this incident and no one including media was allowed in the premises of the Plant. However the district Administration has confirmed that the incident has no adverse impact on power generation of this plant.
