Romania will open a consulate in Chennai. This was decided in a meeting between Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and Romania Prime Minister Viorica Dancila in Bucharest last evening. <br />”<br />”<br />”In a joint press statement, Mr Naidu invited Ms Dancila to visit India. Ms. Dancila also invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit Romania in January next year. Mr. Naidu said during its forthcoming Presidency of EU, Romania will take the lead for negotiations to restart on the early conclusion of India-EU free trade agreement with balanced outcomes.<br />”<br />”<br />”Later, Vice President also addressed the India-Romania Business forum. Mr. Naidu said that the demonetisation and the GST have been successfully implemented to help India to emerge as a modern and unified market. <br />”<br />”<br />”<span style="color: #222222;">He said the country has embarked on the path of economic transformation and this presents fresh opportunities in multiple sectors for Romanian entrepreneurs. He said that Indian economy is growing at over eight percent, which is one of the fastest growth rate in the world for a large economy. </span><br />
