At the Wimbledon Tennis championships today, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Petra Kvitova entered the second round of the Singles competition. All the three players opened their campaign with straight set victories. In the Men's Singles, Seven-time champion Federer defeated Damir Dzumhur of Bosnia 6-1, 6-3, 6-3. Two-time champion Nadal overcame Brazil's Thomaz Bellucci 6-4, 6-2, 6-4. In the Women's Singles, defending champion Petra Kvitova took just 35 minutes to reach the second round. The second seed Czech star raced to a 6-1, 6-0 win over Kiki Bertens, the world number 138 from the Netherlands.
