In Israel, a rocket fired from Gaza Strip killed a migrant worker in the northern Negev today.<br/><br/>According to Israeli media Haaretz, quoting Israel Defence Forces has reported that this was the third rocket fired from Gaza in less than 24 hours. An unknown Gaza group, Ansar al-Sunna, claimed responsibility for the attack.<br/><br/>Meanwhile European Union's foreign affairs chief Catherine Ashton today visited the Hamas-controlled Gaza enclave.<br/><br/>Earlier Ms. Catherine Ashton told reporters in a press conference with Israeli foreign minister that apart from expressing support to the bilateral relationships with Israel, she is in the region to demonstrate the commitment of the European Union to the Middle East peace process , which leads to the two-state solution. Speaking on the occasion, Israeli foreign minister Avigdor Liberman said that discussion is the best way to achieve this peace. On iranian issue he said, it is really the time for tough decisions in the Security Council and the EU.<br/><br/>Earlier visiting European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton met Israeli President Shimon Peres. Peres reiterated that Israel reserved the right to build in Jerusalem, adding that its construction policy in the capital has not changed in 40 years.
