Roadside bomb kills 25 persons in Afghanistan

In Afghanistan, at least twenty five civilians were killed and another 22 injured when a crowded bus hit a roadside bomb in southwestern province of Nimroz early today. Provincial governor Ghulam Dastgir Azad said the bus was travelling on a highway in Delaram district when the blast occured. He said the bomb had been planted by the enemies because a convoy of NATO forces was supposed to cross the area this morning. More than a thousand civilians have died this year alone in fighting between militant groups and armed forces. Roadside bombs are the Taliban's main weapon in the war, now approaching the end of its ninth year.
