In Andhra Pradesh, the State Road Transport bus services were kept off the roads for the second consecutive day in the Telegana region. The second day of the 48-hour long bandh in the Region has been peaceful so far. Telengana Political Joint Action Committee had called for the bandh. The Transport Corporation officials said losses worth 10 crore rupees have been incurred due to the bandh and bus services would be partially resumed by this afternoon keeping in view the hardships to commuters. Most of the educational institutions in the region remained closed today. Local train services in Hyderabad have been partially resumed.Security has been tightened through out the region and additional forces have been deployed at all important places and in Hyderabad. Our correspondent reports, Prohibitory orders in Hyderabad will remain in force for the next five days. Several Congress party Legislators of the Telengana Region had resigned on the issue of separate State hood for Telengana region. The number of MLA's who tendered resignations across the party lines has touched 100 while 14 MPs also resigned. 17 MLAs also had resigned earlier.
